This is a case study where we did a reporting package for a restaurant group that had two challenges: First, they needed to report on a non-monthly financial calendar. Their fiscal year always starts on a Monday. Periods are 4 weeks or 5 weeks instead of full months. So "Jan 2022" started 12/27/21 and ended 1/23/22. And the prior year, "Jan 2021" started 12/28/20.
In addition to this, they needed weekly comparison reports, Monday through Sunday for multiple weeks. And all reports had to be created using the Uniform System of Accounts for Restaurants.
They have three restaurants and needed to see both separate and consolidated reports. They look at their P&L, inventory, and expenses. Management wanted to see these in a specialized, easy-to-understand format and didn't want to wade through multiple QuickBooks reports.
Putting these reports together by hand was difficult, time-consuming, and error-prone. With FinJinni, they only need to press a button.
